Built
in 1913, the SEEANDBEE served many years as a luxurious steamer,
but in 1942 she was requisitioned by the Government and converted
to an aircraft carrier for training fighter pilots on Lake Michigan!
Distinctive
as one of the last lightships in the U.S. and the last one on the
Great Lakes, the HURON LIGHTSHIP now rests at her permanent berth
in Port Huron, Michigan.
