This is the second work in the History of Hydroplaning Series commissioned by Spirit of Detroit, Thunderfest, Inc. My Sweetie, Skip-A-Long, Such Crust, and Tempo VI round the Belle Isle turn on the Detroit River in the 1949 Gold Cup. Portraits of Wild Bill Cantrell, Stanley Dollar, Dan Arena, and Guy Lombardo are hidden in the work.
